(Note - be ambiguous while reading this, it isn't an actual representation of Warcraft lore.)
Many an Aeon ago, the Arathi tribe were at the peak of their influence over Azeroth. The kingdom of Arathor was their domain - which they watched upon and protected. But unlike many of the denizens that belong within the plains and peaks of this world, they forged their kingdom through peace and equality to those that they encountered during their conquest. Within the great Arathi Highlands, the spearhead of the Arathi Clan's success Thoradin sought that their capital Strom was constructed. Thoradin - a mighty warrior and leader alike, had earned himself the title and bearing of Trollbane, following his prowess during the Troll Wars - which thus began the line of royal descendants, hallowed by this name.
The city of Strom itself was one of grandure, and could be seen from leagues afar. White stone walls rose high into the air and spires and towers, trimmed in regal colours signified the clans power, without even a trace of vanity. Deep within the walls lied the Royal Keep, which provided shelter for Thoradin and his army - a formidable force, considered by many historians one of the most influential groups of whom evolved the very nature of battle. And, for their namesake, this army warded off many invasions and sieges from the corruption that sought to destroy the kingdom.
But, although steel and blood alike had seemed to forge the nation - one force was often forgotten. Arcane, though in this day often looked upon as a questionable power, was one essential role in the success of Arathor. Vail Bluestone, a powerful magus exalted by Thoradin commanded a small yet formidable group of sorcerers that assisted in both the construction and protection of the city. The power bestowed upon Vail and those gifted in the school of Arcane emanated from ancient High Elven scrolls, that only a select few intelligent humans could even begin to understand. This energy was both enough to create and to destroy steel, and the magi in conjunction with the battlemasters of the Royal Army destroyed with relative ease - both forces had an undeniable synergy that could not be found anywhere else in Azeroth..
At the height of the power of the Arathor kingdom, Thoradin's Wall was built, separating the Arathi Highlands from the foothills beyond, crawling with bandits and trolls alike. To the south, Thandol Span was also constructed to connect both the northern and southern domains of the Eastern Kingdoms, strengthening their economy through trade. The kingdom of Arathor continued in the rise of its might, but this perfection could not continue forever. In the kingdom's glory, the Magi who were just as responsible for the glory of Arathor were exiled, labeled as heretics and traitors for using the powers that had been bestowed upon them for righteous causes. Disgusted by their betrayal, the magi, who had at this point become a relatively large group of followers, built the city of Dalaran in the north. Quickly, the citizens of Strom realized their mistake as suddenly, they were vulnerable to the evil that pressed upon their kingdom. As strong as steel was, the forces of Strom collapsed and, in their fractured groups spread to different parts of the Eastern Kingdoms. Thoradin and the Trollbane bloodline ventured south to create Stormwind as it is seen today, and a small group of loyal defenders stood vanguard over the last bastion of the Arathor Kingdom - Stromgarde Keep. This small token of what used to be a powerful nation stands battered by the gales of adversity, with dark forces of necromancy threatening the last thread of Arathor. Its fate is unsure, and in the coming years we will learn of its position in Azeroth.
As for the Trollbane bloodline, their presence in the South is prominent, and are still associated with the most powerful warriors of the mortal realms, although one of their greatest weaknesses may still be their refusal to change their loyal, steel forged nature. Regardless of their future, inscribed within the tomes of Azeroth the Trollbane Bloodline will always mark significance towards the prosperity of the Human Race and its presence within this realm.
The Magi however, persevered through the dark times that forsook them. But, in a curious twist of luck, through the adversities that they faced, the sorcerers of Dalaran unlike those of Arathor are far from fragmented and practice the arts of Arcane to this day. Whether they will forgive their perpetrators is unknown - but the future of the magi of Dalaran is a bright one.
As wavering as the history of the kingdom of Arathor has been, the ruins of this nation will amaze most anyone - how a small group of people from the Arathi tribe could expand into one of - undeniably - the most powerful kingdoms Azeroth has seen.

Just as a kind of after note, I thought this would be kind of relevant as Stromgarde is a major city in EoC. Maybe this could be put into a history book in the keep or something alike?
Anyway, thanks for reading!
