A thunderous explosion could be heard in the distance, the cries of women and children, wailing throughout the sinister forest, the tides of war is coming.
Bells could be heard in the distance as a young, frightened soldier runs for his life shouting hysterically of doom.
"report this instant, soldier! What happened out there?" exclaimed the nervous scarlet general, durian.
"everything was going as planned general, we ambushed the nearby horde encampment and had the situation under control! Then...they came...",the frightened soldier said. Durian looked troubled as he could sense the soldier's fear. "who came! Tell me who did this!" durian shouted, seemingly frightened by the fact that something larger may be a threat, that their mission could be compromised and that they would be once again exiled from the alliance.
"they came from the sky, burning with hatred they launched on us with fury! We did not stand a chance, i watched as my friends perished one by one! They have no mercy, no heart, they stand as a legion. A burning legion....i...i..don't feel very good..."
the scarlet soldier fell to the floor in exhaustion, with a dark gloomy presence fallen over him. "get this man medical attention, now! He needs hel-"
"no..get away from him now!" the general said abruptly.
The gloomy presence over the fallen soldier began to grow darker by each ticking second, at sudden the soldier exploded in a violent burst as a demonic being stood where the soldier once did in a matter of seconds.
"foolish mortals, surrender to me or perish under the heels of the burning legion!" the demonic being shouted.
"no...not today, not ever. The scarlet order bows to no one, i bow to no one!"
in a blink of an eye, durian ran his battleaxe through the demonic entity. The demonic entity fell to the ground, smirking at the scarlet order's general.
"hmph, you slay this lesser body, but i will return in an even greater form. You have signed your death, mortal."
"i will await that day, as i will relish in your second death, demon."
the doomguard fades into non-existence as the general slowly walks away to his command tent.
"send letter to king varian, warn him of the second coming of the burning legion.
